Plan for Growth 101: Reflecting on Lessons Learned “On The Journey”

It’s been two years since “On The Journey” officially launched, and it has been a period of intense learning and growth. The core motivation for this venture, however, took root much earlier about eight years ago when I first began exploring therapeutic methods for personal development. As time progresses, the scope is becoming clearer and a direct roadmap for the plan has been established. Click to learn more about me and the company.

While I feel a sense of completion in my inner journey (though I know it is an ongoing, lifelong process), what truly inspired me to establish this company is the conviction that these subjects are more vital than what we typically learn in school. They provide the essential fuel for an efficient mindset, which is necessary for managing our own psychological landscape. We provide a clear plan to help you optimize your mindset and take control of your inner journey.

The Power of Positive Mindset

A positive mindset serves as the fundamental architecture of a fulfilling life, dictating how we navigate our daily experiences. When you cultivate the ability to perceive, process, and react to the world from a place of peace, you effectively master your internal psychological landscape, allowing even the most ordinary days to feel like a dream. This internal calm is not merely a feeling but a functional tool; it widens the gap between stimulus and response, enabling you to recognize logic over knee-jerk mental reactions. By bypassing these primitive impulses, you empower your higher reasoning to make wiser, more intentional decisions. This shift ensures your choices align with your long-term growth rather than your immediate fears.

My insights haven’t come solely from the self-help and psychology books I’ve read; they’ve been forged through real-life experience. I’ve had the chance to spend time in various places, navigating different emotional states from sadness to happiness. Living in the Netherlands and maintaining a mostly international social circle has given me the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of people, including both Dutch and international communities. I also spent a devoted summer in a coastal town in Turkey.

Insights into Human Behavior

From childhood, I’ve been fascinated by human behavior, constantly questioning the meaning of life and curious about the perspectives of others. Life moves through four distinct seasons, and I wanted to understand the shifts in mindset that accompany different circumstances. People have always found me approachable and comfortable enough to easily discuss their emotional worlds.

Here are some of the key insights I’ve gathered from these conversations and observations. Please note that these are personal observations rather than scientifically proven facts. While I have strived to maintain objectivity, it is important to acknowledge that these insights are likely biased.

Perfectionism and Fear: I have often noticed that perfectionism is a heavy burden, frequently acting as a main source of stress and inner panic. At its heart, this drive for perfection is usually fueled by a deep-seated fear of being criticized or judged. When we feel we have to be flawless to be worthy, even the smallest critique can feel like a personal attack. This makes it easy to become defensive, as we instinctively try to protect ourselves from the pain of not feeling “good enough.”

The Mask of Personal Values: Personal values, which are sometimes religious in nature, can act as a powerful mask that prevents people from evaluating information objectively.

Aggression and Inferiority: Aggressive behavior is often strongly rooted in a perception of inferiority. The perceived lack of respect or desire to be seen can manifest in disruptive ways.

Hidden Narcissism: I’ve noticed hidden narcissistic tendencies that are primarily performed towards those closest to a person, such as a spouse or children.

The Nature of True Friendship: True friends accept you as you are. However, not everyone is equipped to deal with negativity, illness, or unpleasant circumstances. Furthermore, people can sometimes take it personally when someone else is moody or not feeling well. A person with a strong character generally remains calm when faced with criticism.

Maturity is Not Just About Age: Age and emotional maturity do not always progress in parallel. There are individuals over 50 who still struggle with emotionally mature behaviors, such as experiencing extreme panic over a perceived threat, being selfish, or talking behind others without a clear reason.

The Toll of Toxic People: Dealing with toxic individuals is one of the most emotionally energy-consuming situations. They tend to focus easily on negativity, judge without listening, and can engage in behaviors that are deliberately annoying to others.

Plans for 2026

“On The Journey” is a young, vibrant project in its early stages, but the plan is already clear. I’ve quickly realized that while starting a company is exciting, the real challenge is sustaining it with discipline and focus. This journey began right after a period of intense personal burnout, which added a layer of complexity to the process. I had to make the necessary choice to prioritize my mental health and recovery before I could fully give my all to this work. Although the plan was always there, I first needed to find the strength to truly commit to it.

Now, with a stronger foundation, my commitment for the coming year is to focus more intensely on the company’s growth and value. This is a strategical plan that includes a dedicated effort to add articles regularly, ensuring a consistent stream of thoughtful, well-researched content for the community. Furthermore, I will be dedicating more time to deep reading and research on the core topics of mindset, psychology, and personal development to ensure the content remains insightful and current. Thus the first step in the plan is to regularly expanding the content of the website with valuable and attractive content.

Ultimately, the high-level goal is clear: to increase the depth of knowledge shared and to expand the reach to a higher-level audience for individuals who are not merely interested in self-help, but who are deeply and actively committed to self-growth and personal mastery. One of the company plan is to build a community of committed explorers on this psychological landscape. Linkedin is the main social platform that is use to promote and share posts since there it is a professional platform with users who has ambition for self development.

Join me on this journey as we continue to explore the depths of the human mindset and the path to a more peaceful, purposeful life. Together, we will uncover the psychological barriers that hinder our growth and develop a strategic plan to replace them with habits that foster clarity. Through this work, the layers of our thoughts will be defined. Furthermore we can intentionally design a future rooted in balance, resilience, and long-term fulfillment. By understanding the intricate layers of our thoughts, I invite you to contribute your unique perspective to this growing community and be part of this plan.

Towards the third year

In summary, this article is focused on explaining the strategic plan of On The Journey as a company. The two-year journey of “On The Journey” has been a period of deep self-reflection and hard-won insight, proving the immense value of understanding one’s psychological landscape. Despite a nascent start and recovery from burnout, the path ahead is now clear and focused. The mission is to deepen the knowledge shared through regular content and expand our reach to those dedicated to personal mastery. The observations on human behavior from the stresses of perfectionism to the toll of toxic dynamics serve as the foundation for the content to come. The work continues, driven by the goal of fostering a more peaceful and purposeful life for all on their own journey.
